The background has been painted with a flat spot. However, through simple elements of geometric decoration, its weight was weakened. The model’s head emerges from a strong shadow. The calm face and its static position give the feeling of „stopping”. This moment is an illustration of the internal illumination that we all sometimes experience – a moment of being somewhere „in between”. The character of a mature man, his dynamics, is defined by the frame (square) of experience, skills and what he brings into this world …
